Registrations for the 2021 Virtual 70 Miler and the Generation Gap races will open on May 1. You will have anytime from Friday, May 28 till Monday, May 31 to continuously complete the 70-mile course. You must start in Otsego Lake and finish in Bainbridge. You will have to provide your own GPS tracker. You will need to present to race committee your GPS proof of finish and adherence to course. The best way to submit that will be by emailing it to entries@canoeregatta.org. Once you present your GPS proof you will be mailed a finishers T shirt and get an official 70-mile finish. Entry fee will be $30 per person which covers insurance and t-shirt. There will be no awards, no winners, no times, just a finish. Entries will open for Virtual 70 May 1. The Generation Gap races will be a timed event. You must preregister. No same day registrations.

The 6:45pm start time is for teams composed of a female paddler older than 11 and a second female paddler at least 14 years older. This race is open to all boat types.

To get credit for an official 70 mile finish, you will need to meet the following requirements:

1.Present a GPS tracker showing date/time started and finished include the map of the coarse. This is the preferred method OR

2.Present a picture with time and date stamp on it at the start.
Present at least 2 other pics along the route with time and date stamp.
Present a picture at the finish in Bainbridge with date and time stamp.
I am looking for any picture or video evidence you have completed the 70 mile coarse.
This is truly an honor system. I am expecting we will not have any issues. But if anyone paddling Witnesses any cheating I would expect that to reported to me.
You are responsible to show proof of completion. If you do not provide acceptable proof you will not be credited with a finish. Chairman’s decisions are final.

The river has not been cleared above Milford so please be careful of any obstacles.

T-shirts will be send out approx. 1-2 weeks after the event.
Docks will be in place at the finish line.
There will not be any water release race weekend as far as I know.
