This class is intended for stock aluminum canoes. Fiberglass or plastic canoes will be allowed in this class, but may be required to start in the rear of the starting line. You must be in a stock aluminum canoe to place in the top 3 places. Kevlar or similar light weight canoes can only enter in the Amateur race. There must be a 14+ year age difference between the two paddlers. The adult paddler must be female. The child paddler can be either a male of female between the ages of 5 and 12 years o

Approximately 30 mile race with 5 legs starting at designated areas downstream. Teams consist of 6-10 canoeists and one canoe. Teams must change at each exchange point buoy.Stock aluminum canoes only!
1st Leg: 3 miles to Rt 205 bridge. Exchange on right side of the river just after the bridge. Link to map
2nd Leg: 9 miles to Otego/Wells Bridge fishing access. Water is mostly deep. Link to map
3rd Leg: 8 3/4 miles to Unadilla fishing access. Water varies from deep to shallow with some rapids. Link to map
4th Leg: 4 1/4 miles to Sidney-Ozzies beach just before Main Street bridge. Link to map
5th Leg: 4 1/4 miles to General Clinton Park. Water is mostly shallow.

This class is for the pro athletes. Must be using a boat specifically designed for four people with a max length of 25' 11", minimum width of 32" at the gunwale, and minimum weight of 50 pounds.

This class is to introduce paddlers to Marathon Canoe racing. We allow any canoe or kayak to enter this class. This class is a "just for fun" class. There are no awards or trophies handed out (except first time finisher awards). If you're unsure which class to enter, or if this is your first time entering the race, we recommend this class.
These are canoeing elite, with paddlers competing for prize money. Must be using a C1 Pro Canoe.
This class is for the more serious Kayaker. Racing level kayaks only. Kayaks must be greater than 16ft in length, and less than 18in wide at the 4in water line. This class is open to Kayaks, ICFs, and Surfskis. These are canoeing elite, with paddlers competing for prize money. 3x27 Pro boat is required. This class has subclasses for men, women, and mixed teams.
Trophies are presented at the trophy presentation ceremony at approximately 4pm on Sunday. Trophies for the 70 mile classes will be presented as follows (The number of boats per class is the number of boats registered for that class as of Friday at 8am.):
● Less than 3 boats: No trophies
● 3 boats in class: 1st place trophies only
● 4-6 boats in class: 1st and 2nd place trophies only
● More than 6 boats: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies

Refund Policy: Full Refund for notices of cancellations received on or before last day of Early Bird Registration. 50% refund for notices of cancellations received on or before the last day of regular registration. No refunds after the end of regular registration.
