NOTICE to 70 Mile Race Teams and Pit Crews
***GOODYEAR LAKE ACCESS CLOSED***
The access point to Goodyear Lake, on Knott's Motel Road has been closed to the public. It is private property and the owners have decided to keep it closed. There is a public access to the lake, following these directions: From State Route 7 go to otsego county rt 35 and go north to Silliman Cove Road. There is a sign for Goodyear Lake Fishing access and car top boat launch. Once you are in the water you will be in Silliman's Cove and the only exit of the cove is to Goodyear Lake. You can see the portage when you get on the lake. It may take a few extra minutes of paddling if you are pitting for your team so be sure to check it our prior to Monday.
**70 Mile Race Packet Pickup Location and Times:** LOCATION: General Clinton Park Only TIMES: Friday 6pm-8pm, Saturday 12pm-7pm, Sunday 12pm-7pm
Packets for Friday and Sunday races will be available the day of the race
at the starting line of each race.

The Hall of Fame dinner will be at 4pm on Saturday May 26th. Hall of Fame dinner tickets are sold out!…
..Those who don’t have tickets are invited to join us after dinner for the induction ceremony which is scheduled to start around 6PM
50th Anniversary Canoe Parade
Open to the Public at 1pm on Saturday May 26th. Click here for more details and to register.
***Still time to join the first ever Canoe Parade on the River Saturday May 26, 2012 1 PM.
You can now enter the parade at the start of the parade at Whitakers old parking lot on Main St. Sidney.
You must have waiver signed and have your own canoe or kayak and life jacket.

General Clinton Canoe Regatta Hall of Fame
The Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the beginning of the General Clinton Canoe Regatta Hall of Fame. The 50th Regatta will mark the inaugural class of the Hall of Fame. The Chamber is for your nominations for the first class. It can be a paddler or someone who has contributed to the regatta rich history. For a nomination form Click here.

General Clinton Canoe Regatta Needs Your Help
The Bainbridge Chamner of Commerce is looking for
volunteers to help with the 50th annual General Clinton Canoe
Regatta. We are looking for committee members as well as
volunteer during the weekend of the race. Please contact John

What Happens During the Weekend
The General Clinton Canoe Regatta Weekend
attracts
more than 1,500 paddlers to 50 races in one or two-person classes on the
Susquehanna River. The Regatta culminates Memorial Day with a 70-mile endurance
race from Cooperstown to Bainbridge, the worlds longest single-day flat water
marathon canoe race, part of the North American Triple Crown of Canoeing.
Past entrants included world-class athletes like US Olympic Gold Medalist Greg
Barton, 28-time winner Canadian Serge Corbin, and racers from all over the
United States, all over Canada, and from many countries, competing for over
$25,000 in cash and prizes.
What Awaits You After The Race
We have plenty of entertainment awaiting Young and Old. There are rides, food
stands, live bands and a variety of shows for you to enjoy. Fireworks Display
Saturday and Sunday night.
